Awareness of women's issues globally, regionally and locally has escalated because it is certainly became so difficult to any society to grow and achieve development without the participation of women, who represent the greatest half from the development perspective.
It is also certain that fighting against women’s poverty and strengthening their economic role lead to the whole society welfare, while increasing women’s income leads to an increase in household expenditure, which supports economic activity in general.
The participation of women in the development process and its empowerment is considered one of the indicators of measuring Nations progress and advancement. The concept of empowerment is closely linked to participation and development, as we can say that empowerment and participation are two sides of the same coin. Effective development requires development of women’s capabilities and potential to provide women with the needed elements to be able to make a change in society.
